Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health School-Based Mental Health Services

where health & education intersect

MISSON: Provide individual and group counseling, crisis assessments and referrals onsite to middle- and high-school youth struggling with mental health issues—as well as their parents and teachers.

ABOUT: Everyday adolescents struggle with anxiety, depression, thoughts of suicide, attention deficit disorder, bipolar disorder, the emotional trauma of bullying and other disorders along the autism spectrum. According to the National Institute of Mental Health: 20 percent of youth ages 13 to 18 years, and 13 percent of ages 8 to 15 years, live with a mental health condition. To address these issues, the Fitzgerald Family Foundation partners with Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health in providing a mental health counselor onsite in 11 area schools in Chicago’s northwest suburbs; 7 high schools and 4 middle schools.​

Fellowship Housing, Inc.

Housing assistance for struggling moms & children
MISSON: To Empower Single Mothers to Build a New Legacy

ABOUT:
Fellowship Housing is a 501(c)3 non-profit serving the needs of single mothers and their children who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness. Since 1991, Fellowship Housing has been providing safe, affordable housing and financial literacy training, plus additional educational and supportive services, for single moms and their children. In 2017, Fellowship Housing launched its Legacy Scholarship Program, supporting the post-secondary educational pursuits of Fellowship Housing children. With more than a dozen locations throughout Cook, DuPage, Kane and McHenry counties in Illinois, Fellowship Housing's comprehensive two-year program helps single mothers to break the cycle of poverty, guiding them from crisis to long-term stability and independence.

Riverview Center of Galena

Supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse
MISSON: Riverview Center is a nonprofit agency committed to providing compassionate, client-centered care for individuals affected by sexual assault in Iowa, and for individuals affected by sexual and domestic violence in Illinois.

ABOUT:
Riverview Center provides sexual assault services in a 14 county Northeast Region of Iowa, as well as sexual or domestic violence services in Jo Daviess and Carroll Counties in Illinois. Services are free regardless of biological sex, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, immigration status, English proficiency, race and/or ethnicity, incarceration status, disability or background. Riverview Center is a safe space.

St. Alexius Women & Children’s Hospital

Medical assistance to Mothers & their children
MISSON: St. Alexius Women & Children's Hospital goal is to create a family-friendly environment to deliver multidisciplinary, collaborative care to this generation and the next. In sickness and in health.

ABOUT:
A ground-breaking hospital located on the campus of St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. This state-of-the-art, LEED-certified facility offers women and children convenient access to innovative technologies and treatments—all performed by doctors and nurses with unique specialties in pediatric and women's care.

Royal Family KIDS Camp

Helping children in Foster Care lives better
MISSON: Creating positive, life-changing moments for innocent children who have been victims of neglect, abuse, and abandonment.

ABOUT:
We aim to transform lives and communities by interrupting cycles of neglect, abuse and abandonment of children in the foster care system. We fulfill our mission by providing an array of programs, all directed toward changing the trajectory of young lives which usually include a combination of academic failure, drug abuse, teen pregnancy, sex trafficking, homelessness, and incarceration.

Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital

Mental Health & substance abuse programs
MISSON: If you or a family member is struggling with mental health issues, addiction or behavioral disorders, Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital is there for you when life becomes too difficult.

ABOUT:
Since 1999, Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital has focused on providing evidence-based behavioral health care for patients and families when they require more intensive treatments. Our 141-bed facility is the 10th largest behavioral health hospital in the country and offers specialized services for mental health and substance abuse problems.

Youth Haven SWFL

Home, Hope and Healing
MISSON: Providing Home, Hope and Healing to abused and neglected children and teens in Southwest Florida.

ABOUT:
Founded in 1972 in response to the community’s need for a safe space for children in crisis, Youth Haven is Collier County’s only emergency and residential shelter for children and teens ages 6–21 who have experienced abuse, neglect, or homelessness. Located on an 18.5-acre therapeutic campus in Naples, Florida, Youth Haven provides trauma-informed, holistic care that includes mental health therapy, educational support, life-skills training, and enrichment activities—equipping youth with the tools they need to heal, grow, and become self-sufficient. The organization is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families. Now in its 53rd year, Youth Haven remains committed to its mission of providing Home, Hope, and Healing to abused and neglected children and teens in Southwest Florida, and to its vision of a bright future for every child and teen in congregate care. Chicago Inpatient Eating Disorders Unit
MISSON: Mental Health specialists at Ascension, St. Joseph Hospital, Chicago, IL, Inpatient Eating Disorders Unit in Chicago, Illinois, provide advanced care to adults.

ABOUT:
Specialists at Ascension, St. Joseph Hospital, Chicago, IL, Inpatient Eating Disorders Unit provide highly-specialized care for adult patients 18 years and older struggling with eating disorders. These include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), and other specified feeding and eating disorders (OSFED). A comprehensive care plan that includes: Case management services with a focus on disposition and aftercare planning. Group, individual, family, and milieu therapy (group therapy for mental health conditions). Meals, snacks, nutrition and medical education.
